Project As[I]Am

Project As[I]Am (pronounced “as I am”) is a pan-Asian American online magazine that promotes the emerging voices of artists and activists who lack support and find their work underrepresented elsewhere. Founded in 2013 by Jordan Alam, the magazine is a forum where identities are acknowledged as multi-layered, a fact that is often erased in mainstream media. The As[I]Am mission statement emphasizes that issues of gender equity, queer and trans issues, class, immigration status, disability, and many more are all interrelated.

As[I]Am has published multiple themed issues including “Resistant Bodies” and “Unpalatable,” featured over 80 writers and creators, and hosts a podcast called “Drop That Hyphen.” Check it out at the link below.
